WHAT IS SERAPIS SSE?

Delivered by QinetiQ Training & Simulation, Serapis SSE is at the forefront of the UK’s research of next-generation Simulation and Synthetic Environments and their associated tools and systems. The programme – one of six lots of the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory’s (Dstl) six-year Serapis framework agreement – is focused on identifying and exploiting over-the-horizon technologies in support of the MoD Chief Scientific Advisor’s research programme, and for Front Line Commands and cross-governmental departments.

WHY USE IT?

Serapis SSE affords its customers ease of access to the collective talents and specialist expertise of industry (including small and medium-sized enterprises), academia and non-traditional defence suppliers. The diversity of knowledge and innovative thought available through its community of practice can be rapidly secured using agile contracting and administrative processes. With every step of taskings overseen by an experienced technical lead to assure delivery and minimise the burden of effort on customers, sourcing ground-breaking research, experimentation, studies, technical advice and prototype solutions is remarkably straightforward.

HOW DO I USE IT?

Those wishing to exploit Serapis SSE’s services should:

• Confirm the proposed work is in-scope with the framework’s Dstl Technical Advisor;
• Contact the Serapis SSE team via serapis_sse@nsc.co.uk to be allocated a technical lead, who will liaise with you to help shape the requirement and define a formal tasking.
